Veterans and Gold Star families receive free lifetime access to national parks and federal recreation lands — a benefit made permanent and stated plainly on the National Park Service's own pages. Current military members and their dependents get a free annual pass. Americans 62 and older can buy the Senior Pass — $20 annual or $80 lifetime — which admits the passholder and everyone in the vehicle.
